Six Wednesday Mornings | September 16 – November 4
Ages 18 months–14 years | $120 per child | Only 12 spaces

Come spend fall with us in the woods.

Forest School at Hive & Home is a place for children to slow down, get curious, climb trees, make things with their hands, get a little muddy, and begin to know the natural world around them.

This fall, our six weeks together will follow a simple rhythm:

SEE • CARE • DELIGHT

SEE — September 16 & 23
Before children can care for the natural world, they have to learn to see it.

We'll look down at the forest floor, follow tracks and signs, meet our wild neighbors, and practice noticing the tiny things we might otherwise walk right past.

CARE — October 7 & 14
Once we begin to know a place, we can learn to care for it.

We'll explore Forest First Aid, practice caring for ourselves and one another outdoors, and learn simple ways children can be good stewards of the woods they love.

DELIGHT — October 28 & November 4
And when children know the natural world and care for it, they can truly delight in it.

We'll notice the signs and gifts of autumn, taste honey, gather natural treasures, create together, and finish our season with one of our most beloved Forest School traditions: Mud Magic Day.

Our Forest School Rhythm

Each gathering includes time to:

🌿 Visit and feed our homestead animals
🌿 Gather for our welcome circle
🌿 Wander the woods together
🌿 Climb, explore, imagine, and play
🌿 Enjoy a seasonal hands-on activity or craft
🌿 Gather again before heading home

This is not a drop-off program. A parent or caregiver stays and experiences Forest School alongside their child.

Children from 18 months through age 14 are welcome. Activities are designed to allow children to participate at their own developmental level, and siblings can experience the woods together.

Registration

$120 per child for the full six-week season

This fall, Forest School is intentionally limited to 12 children total.

There will not be an additional afternoon session or alternate Forest School day offered this season. Once all 12 spaces are claimed, Fall Forest School registration will close.
