Step away from the busy pace of summer and join us for a morning of fresh air, wonder, and simple childhood joys at the Hive & Home Homestead.

Wild & Free Wednesdays are relaxed, parent-supervised gatherings designed to give children the freedom to explore, imagine, create, and connect with nature at their own pace while parents enjoy an unhurried morning of community and conversation.

There is no rigid schedule to follow and no pressure to keep up. Simply arrive, settle in, and enjoy the rhythm of a slower summer morning.

During your visit, children may...

🐐 Help care for the goats, chickens, and ducks

🌳 Swing beneath the trees

🌿 Wander the forest trail

🤎 Splash, dig, and create in our beloved Forest Mud Pond

💦 Cool off in the kiddie pool (weather permitting)

🦋 Search for butterflies, insects, feathers, and other tiny wonders

🎨 Discover an Invitation to Create, an open-ended nature experience thoughtfully prepared to spark curiosity and imagination

📚 Relax beneath the trees with a favorite book or simply enjoy the beauty of the homestead

While the children explore, parents are invited to bring a lawn chair, sip a cup of coffee, visit with friends, or simply enjoy watching childhood unfold.

Please Note

• Parent or caregiver participation is required. This is not a drop-off program.

• Dress for the weather and expect to get a little messy! Closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, bug spray, towels, and a change of clothes are encouraged.

• Activities may vary slightly from gathering to gathering based on the season, weather, and what nature has to offer that day.

• Space is intentionally limited to preserve the peaceful, welcoming atmosphere of the homestead.

We believe some of childhood's sweetest memories are made when there is time to wander, wonder, and simply be together.
